Karen Gilbert is a fitness professional and serial entrepreneur with a lifetime of experience as a fitness enthusiast. She solidified this passion over 20 years ago when she joined the fitness industry and while there incorporated a mix of fitness, yoga, and Pilates into most of her workouts. In 2005, a near-fatal bicycle accident became a learning experience where Karen came face-to-face with the ins and outs of rehab, which she has since incorporated into her training methodology. Karen also specializes in lifestyle fitness and loves the challenge of helping others make it part of their routine.
After living in Santa Monica, CA for 19 years she relocated to Durham, NC. She became a first time mom at the age of 39 and had her second son 22 months later (age of 41). After having two unexpected C-sections and some diastases, Karen became very interested in learning how to recover quickly and safely. She is certified and trained in prenatal yoga, postpartum fitness recovery, repairing diastases recti, and much more! Through her own experiences and education, she has worked with many moms to help them maintain and regain their own fitness and strength.
